Overview:

Joining on the evening of the 21st July, we will be leaving the Solent behind after safety briefings and heading west! This cruise is aimed at those who hold at least their Competent Crew, and have preferably experienced sailing in watches - great for those looking at getting some miles under their belt before working on their next RYA qualifications.

The skipper, John, is an experienced Yachtmaster Instructor who will be maore than happy to offer coaching as required.

In order to get to "interesting places" we will be doing a mix of longer passages and shorter day sails. This should allow us to reach La Rochelle, my ultimate goal for the Summer.

The cruise takes place on Prime Evil, our comfortable, fast cruiser. She will be carrying the dinghy (with outboard), and at least one spinnaker for this trip. With 8 berths available on board, and a maximum of 6 guests for this trip their will be plenty of room on board. She is simple to sail, and easily cruises at more than 7 knots.

The cruise can be split into two legs if required, though priority will be given to people interested in the whole trip.

General pricing info.

The cost of the trip is £1400 per head. This includes accomodation on board, all mooring fees. Pillows and pillow cases are provided, along with on board food. In fact the only "extra" will be two or three meals per week eaten ashore at own expence - it would be a shame not to sample the local cuisine wouldn't it?

Accommodation:

There are 8 berths split into 3 cabins and the saloon.

About the area:

Once clear of the Solent we will be heading West for Brixham, then across the Channel to the Brittany coast where we will continue working West, hopefuly as far as La Rochelle.
