Sailing Yacht: Take sailing lessons on Auckland Harbour aboard 'French Connection', our modern 32 foot Beneteau Oceanis. 'French Connection' has a tiller, not a wheel, to give a totally hands-on experience. All the equipment is modern and easy to use. Sailing Courses: The Sailing Away programmes cater for beginners to advanced sailing. Courses cover all practical aspects of helmsmenship, seamanship, personal safety and navigation. Gain an internationally recognised Royal Yachting Association (R.Y.A) or Yachting New Zealand Keelboat Sailing qualification. Take an ICC Practical Exam for chartering.
Sailing Instructor
Your sailing instructor is Suzanne Bourke, who has been sailing all her life in a wide range of yachts, from dinghies to keelers. Suzanne has over 20 years experience as a school teacher and has taught people of all ages and nationalities to sail for the last 15 years. She is a qualified Yachting New Zealand instructor and has been sailing master at two Auckland yacht clubs. Suzanne is a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Yachtmaster Offshore Instructor. Sailing Away School of Sailing is affiliated internationally as a RYA Sailing School and offers the full range of RYA courses to suit all levels of ability from beginners to advanced sailors. With Suzanne’s patience and skills you will feel completely at ease learning to sail aboard ‘French Connection’.General pricing info.
