Learn to Sail sailing holidays in Croatia with Activity Yachting

In Croatia we offer Learn to Sail, Flotilla, Apartment and Day sailing Holidays, based from Murter Island, which is located mid way between Zadar and Split. These holidays are from our own in house operation and can only be booked directly with us.

Our Learn to Sail Holidays offer internationally recognised certification and we are an IYT approved training establishment and we can offer International Crew, Flotilla Skipper, Bareboat Skipper and ICC Assessments. This latter is particularly popular with experienced sailors that like the idea of being able to combine getting an International Certificate of Competence as part of a flotilla holiday, without having to do additional special courses or training.

For single travellers our specialty is our Learn to Sail a Yacht Holiday, where you share a yacht with others and an instructor, sailing around the islands as part of flotilla. Couples, groups or families may book an entire yacht, or share with others depending on their requirements, and particularly popular with families and groups are our two week Family Sailing Holidays.

This is our most popular holiday for either the total beginner wanting an introduction to sailing, or the competent crew/dinghy sailor wishing to improve their sailing and navigation and getting either their first crewing or skippers certificate. Anyone wanting more can go for their full licence, the International Certificate of Competence (the ICC). This is an ideal holiday for groups, families or singles.

Courses run from April to October and flight exclusive prices start from £295/380€ per person per week in early April, plus an on site cash payment of £55/70€pp to cover yacht costs. A weeks tuition combined with a second week either taking your own yacht on flotilla, spending it ashore in pre arranged accommodation with day sailing, or doing your own thing, are all very popular follow on options .

Prices are per person in UK £sterling. The following prices all relate to our Learn to Sail Holidays which are based from Murter Island. You join the yacht from 1700hrs onwards on the first Saturday afternoon, sleep that night on the yacht and then sail as part of a flotilla from the Sunday morning. The yacht then returns to our home port the following Friday afternoon, after a full six days sailing, you sleep that last Friday night on board and then depart by 0900 hrs on the Saturday morning.

Flights are not included as there is now a very good range of flights to Croatia, including the low cost airlines with whom you must book directly.

Learn to Sail Holidays are normally based on having up to four people on board a two cabin 31ft yacht or up to six on board one of the larger three cabin yachts. For groups of more than six or those requiring a larger yacht, please contact us to discuss your requirements. All prices are based on two people sharing a twin/double cabin with a single cabin reservations available for a supplement and subject to availability.

In addition to the below payments, there is an on site payment of £65/75€ per person per week, which must be paid in cash on arrival. This is to contribute towards the onsite teaching boat weekly costs, and includes IYT Log books and certification, fuel and mooring fees. For families or groups filling tuition boats, the above per person charges do not all apply as you cover the yacht and marina costs as you go along.
