Harness the power of the wind - windsurfing in Cornwall
Location: Bude, Cornwall, United Kingdom
Beginners enjoy the sensation of skimming across the open water on a lake then the challenge of turning round and getting back! After that it’s time to learn to tack and gybe. Light winds are better for learning and you’ll be on wide style boards to help you progress quickly.
The experienced windsurfers go out in the surf and carve the wave face, getting big air from massive jumps and loops off the back of the wave. The speeds they reach are incredible and the feeling of exposure of being out in the Atlantic Ocean is awesome.
In the waves you need higher winds to power you up for the jumps. At this level the boards are much smaller and look more like surfboards. We are lucky and get more than our fair share of good wind in Cornwall.
Outdoor Adventure has been an RYA recognised centre since 1981 approved to deliver RYA levels 1-3.
In addition to Windsurfing we also run the following activities which you are fuly able to try out during your stay with us - it's all included in the cost!
> surfing > bodyboarding > kayaking >sit-on-top kayaking > Canadia canoeing > climbing > abseiling > coasteering > Coastal traversing > archery > orienteering > coastal walking > and finally our evening entertainment!
