Europa is a small family run business which has been operating on Lake Garda since 1993 . Charles and Alison Kinsley have extensive knowledge of the lake and its possibilities and pride themselves on introducing their clients to facets of Garda that are not revealed to the normal package tourist. They are both surfers, windsurfers ,sailors and bikers for more years than they wish to admit to and they bring this knowledge to bear on every aspect of your holiday from the hand picked accommodation to the selection and provision of up to date and state of the art sailing and windsurfing equipment.

As the only Starboard and Severne centre on Lake Garda we are always bang up to date with our equipment. From the slalom racing Isonic in wood to the freeride Kode we have board and sails to suit every kind of sailor and condition of wind. Severne Sails in sizes from 9.0m to 4.5sqm.

THE WIND
Cross shore winds blow twice daily. The ‘Peler’ starts often as early as 11.00pm the night before and blows force 4 ? 7 beaufort from the north with conditions ideal for windsurfing.

The ‘Ora’ starts at around midday , and blows gently from the south ,the perfect time for beginners!

We have over twenty five years of experience in running sailing schools and our instructors are trained by the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and the FIV (Federazione Italiana Vela). We are the only RYA school on Lake Garda and are certified to run courses in Windsurfing, Dinghy Sailing and Catamaran Sailing. All our course have the emphasis on practical sailing experience with the minimum time spent on land studying theory. Personal coaching can be organised on an hourly basis for those who wish to perfect a specific skill.

We are happy to offer a wide range of accommodation to our clients either close to our centre or near to Malcesine depending on the needs of your family or group.

Hotels and apartments prefer Saturday to Saturday bookings but are happy to accept bookings for more
than 7 days with arrival on a date that suits you.
Camping pitches for tents and or camper vans can also be pre?booked via our booking office.

Situated in the foothills of the Dolomites and blessed with a temperate climate, Lake Garda with its thermal winds and proximity to the mountains and cities of the Italian Pianura make it a perfect place for a holiday for the passionate sailor or windsurfer as well as mountain bikers climbers and lovers of all outdoor sports. The cities of Verona and Venice are only a maximum of a couple of hours away which mean that culture and shopping are very much on the agenda for a family who want an all round holiday.

Malcesine - a must-visit with its restaurants, shops, cobbled streets and harbour
Malcesine is an ancient town on the eastern shore of Lake Garda with narrow cobbled streets and dominated by the Scaligeri castle from the 13th-14th century. From here the Monte Baldo cable car can whisk you up from 60mts above sea level (lakeside) to the top of the mountain at 1748mts. From Malcesine you can take the state run ferries which run a regular service to the other principal towns on the lake. This part of the lake thanks to the high mountains on either side and the reduced width is where all the action takes place for the sailor. From Malcesine north the thermic winds come into play and these differentiate the North from the Southern end of the lake where it is much wider, shallower and predominantly calm.

The nearest airport to Lake Garda is Verona Valerio Catullo where British Airways have a daily flight from London Gatwick. The second airport to Lake Garda is Verona Montichiara at Brescia where RyanAir have twice daily flights from London Stanstead.
