Sailing Courses:
Wetstuff is here to provide you with training, racing and charter opportunities from our Gosport base. We can help you set sail into your own personal sunset whether you are an experienced sailor, or looking to "learn the ropes" from scratch.

We have been teaching the RYA's Offshore Sailing scheme since 1991 and the RYA Powerboat scheme since 2001. This has been backed up with the usual range of shore based courses covering navigational theory, use of radio and radar.Prime Evil, Sigma 400

Cruising and Racing:
In addition to regular RYA courses, we also offer the opportunity to get out cruising. To many people cruising is what sailing is all about - a mix of visiting new places while taking part in an activity they love.

For those of you with less time available, or a more competetive streak why not consider joining us for a days racing? Or even the Fastnet in 2007 if you are feeling more adventurous still.. Our racing days will be in the Solent taking part in one of the local race series with upto 2 races a day.

New - our In At The Deep End Courses
These courses are designed for those looking to really immerse themselves in sailing and are run at two levels.

In At The Deep End Competent Crew - when our Chief Instructor started sailing it wasn't on a 5 day course. Instead it was a 7 day trip exploring the French Coast and Channel Islands. Our course takes this one step ( or week) further. Join us for one of the two week legs around the British coast next year and you will certainly emerge as a more competent crew than most - and have experience to back up the training.

In At The Deep End Coastal Skipper - this course is aimed at Day Skippers who are serious about developing the skills needed to sail further afield. You should already be a competent Day Skipper who has explored their local sailing playground and are now looking to sail off in to the sunset. During the two weeks on board you will get to plan up to 36 hour trips and experience a whole range of different ports and harbours. Cost £825 per head..

Company Overview:
Wetstuff has been formed to provide quality boats for charter, racing and tuition.

Our Sailing Director and Chief Instructor is John Wetton. He started sailing while in the Army in 1987 and since then has sailed boats ranging from Optimists right up to square-riggers and ocean-racers. Having sailed in the Baltic, the Med, the Canaries and Trans-Atlantic in addition to UK waters, his experiences together with a "safety first, fun second" approach to teaching will help to ensure you get as much as possible out of your time with us.

Much of his time afloat has involved training of one sort or another. Previous clients have ranged from blue-chip companies, such as Sony, to individuals looking to expand their sailing horizons, and participants in both the Challenge Business and Clipper Around the World Races.

His career has seen him working for outdoor education centres in Kent and Wales, Garmin - world leaders in GPS navigation systems, and for RYA training schools in the UK, Gibraltar and Canaries.
