Dart Harbour Sea School Ltd. is a RYA approved Motor Cruising School offering RYA Motor Cruising Scheme Courses, from a practical introduction for the novice, through to advanced level qualifications.
Based in Dartmouth , arguably one of the most beautiful locations on the South Coast we offer all year round training on the River Dart, the challenge of close quarter manoeuvres in a busy commercial port as well as the thrill of the open sea and its stunning coast line.
We offer all RYA courses on our Fairline 40' Motor Cruiser, fully equipped with all safety and navigation equipment and powered by two Volvo Penta TMD61a diesel engines. Our friendly and professional staff aim to make your course instructive and fun.

We offer all our customers 5 star service and low student-instructor ratios, maximum of 4 to 1, and all customers have there own sleeping space, no sharing cabins, unless, of course, you want to! Our 5 star service extends to great food whilst on board, very well cleaned / maintained boats and no hidden extra costs.

Dart Harbour Sea School is based in a very picturesque area of Devon on the River Dart, a long natural deep water river, which enables us to offer all year round courses in shelter, making it perfect for close quarter manoeuvring. Our RYA accredited sea school provides excellent professional training with friendly male and female instructors. The courses are available for groups or on a one to one basis.
Additional Comments:
- Where booking a residential boat course our prices include: boat costs, fuel, port/harbour dues, breakfast, lunch and evening meal. If booking a non residential course our prices include: boat costs, fuel, port/harbour dues.
- We can do a 1 day ICC test only for the experienced boater, who is already up to Day Skipper Level.
