Learn Dinghy Sailing in New Zealand with Elements

Dinghy Sailing Courses:
Possibly the quickest and easiest way to learn to sail is to take some practical courses. At Elements we have internationally certified instructors to show you how.

Learn to sail on your own in a single handed boat or with a crew. You can potter about exploring your local stretch of water, join a sailing club full of like-minded people, or learn to race. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, expect to get wet!

Elements teach you all you need to know on the magnificent TOPAZ range of sailing boats. These new boats are changing the way Kiwi’s learn to sail. They are perfect for learning and recreational sailing yet with their design features found on top line racing boats they are also able to excite the more experienced and thrill seekers.

We have a range of courses to suit the whole family, our professional instructors will coach you through learning to sail and as your confidence grows take you from sailing off the beach to day sails and if you wish onto the race circuit too.

Elements can also coach you through the Coastguard Theory courses, RYA or YNZ syllabus to enhance and compliment your on the water skills.

Did you know that in addition to our sailing courses we also run a variety of other watersports courses in New Zealand from both Auckland and Tauranga: yacht sailing courses, powerboat training, and windsurf training.

Dinghy Sailing Course Prices:
All of our courses include buoyancy aids and wetsuits as required. Where two prices are quoted for a particular course they relate to either and adult (the first price quotes) or a Junior course price.

Location & How to Find Us:
Elements Watersports offers sailing courses from both Tauranga and Auckland. In Tauranga our base is at Kulim Park on the inner harbour opposite Matakana Island whilst in Auckland, our yachts depart from our base at Westhaven Marina and our small boats and windsurfing courses run from the beautiful beach of Torbay on Aucklands North shore. Elements also has a mobile unit for powerboat and Jetski courses, dinghy and windsurf coaching.

Location Tauranga
A short flight from Auckland domestic airport to Tauranga will bring you to the wonderful bay of plenty. Tauranga has plenty and a good variety of accommodation and Elements Watersports base is within easy 10 minute drive from the main city centre and only 15 minutes from Mount Maunganui. Elements Watersports base is situated on the inner harbour at Kulim Park in Matua, easily located by looking out for our White Shed on the waters edge and lots of activity in the park.

Location Auckland
Elements bases in Auckland are just a short 30 and 45 minute hop from the international airport. Elements Yacht courses in Auckland run from our base in Westhaven Marina, just 20 mins walking distance from the viaduct harbour and city centre and right in the centre of the hauraki gulf.

Elements dinghy, power boating and windsurfing run from our location on the beautiful north shore beach of Torbay, head north over the harbour bridge and simple follow the signs for Torbay which will lead you to Torbay Yacht club and beach. Because Elements small boating courses are also mobile we can come to you! so no matter where you are in NZ we can arrange to teach you in your own back yard.
