RYA Dinghy sailing in Pembrokshire with Solva Sailing
Location: Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, United Kingdom
Solva Sailboats sailing school was set up in 1986 . Since then hundreds of individuals have learnt to sail or drive powerboats starting out from our base on Trinity Quay. We have a small fleet of well-equipped boats, carefully chosen to take best advantage of our remarkable surroundings. Our courses and sailing trips provide a unique opportunity to view a huge variety of marine life in its natural habitat. We are recognised by the Royal Yachting Association and accredited members of the Wildlife Safe Operator Scheme.
We aim to provide highly professional tuition combined with the flexibility that stems from being one of the smallest sailing schools in the country. Weather permitting we are prepared to sail throughout the year and are happy to provide tuition in your own boat if that is what you want. Our own fleet is small, constantly updated, well-equipped and carefully chosen to provide a variety of water-borne experience.Tuition is always in groups of three or less and we will sometimes run courses simply for one person.
General pricing info.
Prices assume at least two people on the course. Please contact us if you would like individual tuition and we will quote you a competitive rate.
Prices include boats, lifejackets, tuition and certificates but not food, accommodation, clothing or logbooks.
If you're not sure which course you want, or you'd like something not listed here, contact us and we'll do our best to provide helpful advice.
We run our courses to order, so when you have decided what course you would like contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time. About the area:
Once a thriving trading port and still an active fishing harbour, Solva is a stunning place to learn how to sail or drive a small powerboat. Saint Brides Bay has 30 Square Miles of open water often, without another craft in sight and clear of obstructions or strong tidal streams. A wonderful place to learn how to handle a boat.
