RYA Dinghy and Powerboat courses in Cornwall with Mylor Sailing School

Mylor Sailing is based in Mylor yacht Harbour in Falmouth, Cornwall. We provide dinghy and keelboat sailing tuition to accreditation, with the RYA syllabus dinghy courses. The RYA’s National Sailing Scheme is a series of two-day courses for those wanting to learn in dinghies and small keelboats. It has been designed to help you enjoy whichever aspect of the sport appeals to you.

If accreditation is not important to you, we provide other fun ways to learn to sail, including family holidays tailored to your needs, holiday courses, individual tuition and practice courses, for those with basic skills.

We also run courses for Dinghy instructors and in summer we also offer kids courses and after school clubs.

Tuition is available for you on your own boat. A session can be tailored to your specific needs, whether it's fine tuning your sailing manoeuvres you want OR you can follow the syllabus of an RYA course. It's up to you!

The boats offer everything from quiet recreational sailing to and exciting challenge: for those sailors who wish to learn to sail for a lifetime's pleasure or for those with lots of experience.

For Keelboat tuition, we have a couple of boats available for this. Experience the sensation of a larger boat with a weighted keel for stability. Ideal if you don't want to get wet! Taking up to 4 passengers, this boat is ideal for family sailing experiences to!

Prices are per person and include a buoyancy aid. The lowest price is for courses of 3 or more people. The highest price is 1 person only.

We do not provide accommodation but can supply a list of accommodation in the nearby vicinity, from campsites to luxury hotels.
