We provide Sailing holidays, whole boat charter, RYA Sailing courses and cruises for anyone wishing to experience sailing in SE Asia. Our cruising area is Penang to Langkawi in Malaysia, Phuket To Ranong in Thailand, Mergui in Myanmar Burma, the Andaman Islands, Singapore Sumatra and Borneo. You can combine theory and practical courses, or join us for an unforgettable sailing experience - the choice is yours. The area is renowned for snorkeling and you are likely to see an abundance of marine life. We are able to offer training specifically tailored to your requirements, to cover all eventualities. Examples could be preparing for a passage or long term cruise, down wind sailing, sail trimming, storm preparation and survival, and maneuvering under power and sail.

Your Skipper and Instructor

Mark Holroyd has had a passion for the sea since his first experience of sailing, aged 5, in his fathers gaff-rigged fishing boat. Later he sailed dinghies and wind-surfers and became a keen diver. In 1985 he started sailing yachts and cruised and raced his 34’ UFO extensively. He has raced in the Fastnet, the Arc, at Cork, Cowes, BVI and Antigua and completed many ocean passages logging well over 200,000 miles. Mark is now an extremely experienced RYA Yachtmaster Instructor and Examiner. He has run a Royal Yachting Association approved sailing school since leaving his position as an executive in the leisure industry in 1993. Meniscus has been surveyed as an approved RYA sail school.

Accommodation:

Meniscus of Gweek, a Bruce Roberts 45, will be your home on your Luxury Yacht Charters, Sailing Holidays, Skippered Yacht Charter or Sailing Course. She is a very comfortable vessel for sailing vacations and yacht charter. Currently cruising in SE Asia with destinations in Langkawi Malaysia, Phuket Thailand and Myanmar Burma. Meniscus means the smallest crescent of the moon and Gweek is a village at the top of the beautiful Helford River in Cornwall where she was fitted out. Accommodation: 8 berths in 4 cabins outside the saloon, 2 heads, one fitted with shower. (In general, except for occasional race weeks, four or possibly six guest berths will be filled, allowing plenty of space and stowage for each person on board). Bruce Roberts yachts are designed and proven to be robust blue water cruisers able to provide a good general level of performance as well as being capable of withstanding heavy conditions should the need arise. She has proved herself to be a good all round boat capable of making good passage times and sailing through several storms.

The Andaman Sea is a spectacular area for a sailing holiday. Everything from remote desert islands to sophisticated resorts. There are towering limestone cliffs festooned with stalactites, superb sandy beaches, amazing snorkeling. This area is undoubtedly one of the finest cruising grounds on the globe.
