Accommodation:
Clients often ask us for ideas on where they can stay after the have completed their RYA course or charter. Tenerife is quite a large island (it takes over an hour by motorway to drive to the north for example), and there are lots of things to do: whether its driving up Mount Teide (Spain’s highest mountain at 3800m), going to the wine museum, Europe’s largest water park or just sitting by the pool. Suggestions for accommodation include: Ten Bell Apartments – close to our marina with a large pool this is a cost effective option; Parador Hotel de Canadas del Teide - the hotel is the only building inside the Teide Nature Reserve and inside the crater of an extinct volcano; TUI group hotels – a wide selection of rooms throughout the island We sometimes have accommodation available on one of our yachts for the odd night – contact us for availability.
About the area:
All practical courses are run from Marina del Sur on Tenerife, and all shorebased courses from our purpose designed classroom adjacent to the marina. Tenerife is the largest island of the archipelago which is the Canary Islands. The Island extends over 2.057 square kilometers and the main geographical feature is Mount Teide which is the highest in Spain. The climate in the south is dry and hot.
How to Get Here:
The Island is served by two airports, one in the north, Los Rodeos, and another in the south, Reina Sofía. We offer a free transfer service from Reina Sofía
