Greece is one of the more popular destination for sailing holidays and hence it comes as no surprise that there are an increasing number of sailing schools there offering RYA courses.

You'll also notice IYT (International Yacht Training) and ASA (American Sailing Association) sea schools listed. Both of these associations also offer syllabus style courses with IYT, like the RYA, offering courses recognised by the MCA (which is important if you plan to make a career out of sailing. ASA, IYT or RYA courses are all recognised by charter companies worldwide.

Greece: This region is classed as a non-tidal area for all other RYA training courses.

For shorebased courses look at the shorebased course listing. Both the Start Yachting and Competent Crew syllabus takes no account of tides, hence the courses are the same the world over.
