There are not many RYA schools or sailing schools full stop in Asia, let alone Malaysia right now - no doubt that will change as time goes on. For the moment though Yachtvoyages run by Mark Holroyd is a great sailing school to work with as not only has he more than 100,000 sea miles under his belt but he has a fabulous yacht and is a trained chef too!

Both the Start Yachting and Competent Crew syllabus takes no account of tides, hence the courses are the same the world over. This region is classed as a tidal area for all other RYA training courses.
