Stormforce Coaching is a family run business with a strong ethos committed to delivering the best quality training courses. We want you to learn and get the skills you sign up for, but we also want you to have fun.

We've been in the business for over a decade and know what works best. We have a team of highly qualified, specialist Instructors on our full time staff, meaning we do not have to rely on external contractors and can offer our customers a consistently high quality course. It doesn't matter which course you book onto or on which date: you will be guaranteed to receive the best level of training possible.

If you're looking to build miles, improve skills or build confidence, one of our offshore cruising courses could be what you're looking for. Under the guidance of one of our experienced skippers, sailors will get the chance to experience a hands on offshore cruise expedition. If racing's your thing, we have several experienced race skippers and some race ready yachts and are looking for likeminded competitive types to join the crew!

RAIL
If arriving at Southampton Central Station, we are a short taxi ride (2.5 miles) away.

AIR
If arriving at Southampton Parkway Airport, we are a short taxi ride (3 miles) away.
London Airports - If arriving via Gatwick or Heathrow Airport and you want to pre-book a taxi, call “Airport Specialists” on 0044 1730231479; a return taxi is just over £140 (less than half the price of the airport based firms).

ISLE OF WIGHT FERRY
If arriving at the Southampton Red Funnel terminal we are a short taxi ride (1.3 miles) away.

SEA
Follow the lateral marks up Southampton Water to Dock Head, leave Dock Head to port as you enter the River Itchen, pass Ocean Village on your port side, go under the Itchen Bridge (24m MHWS) and continue to follow the channel. You will pass on your port side a public slipway, Itchen Marina, a fuel barge and Ocean Quay. Shamrock Quay is the next marina on your port side, please call them on 02380 229461 or VHF channel 80 to arrange visitors' berthing.

ROAD
M27 Eastbound – exit Junction 3 onto the M271. Follow signs to the ‘Waterfront’. When you reach the traffic lights at Ocean Village, carry straight on and follow the road around until you come to a roundabout. Turn right and about 0.5 miles later you will pass Southampton Football Club (on your left). Bear right at the next roundabout and after a further 0.5 miles by the Joshua Tree bar you will see a signpost for Shamrock Quay. Turn right into William St and the marina is 200 yards along on the right-hand side. On entering the Quay drive straight past the chandler and the car park on your left. 100 yards later Stormforce Coaching will be on your left straight opposite a second car park.
M27 Westbound – exit Junction 7 onto the A334. Follow the signs to Southampton city centre. Turn left into Prince’s Street at the traffic lights after the bridge over the River Itchen. Continue along this road for about 0.5 miles and opposite the Joshua Tree you will see a signpost for Shamrock Quay. Turn left and the marina is 200 yards along on the right-hand side. On entering the Quay drive straight past the chandler and the car park on your left. 100 yards later Stormforce Coaching will be on your left straight opposite a second car park.
M3 Southbound – exit Junction 14 onto the A33. Follow the signs to the ‘Docks’ and ‘Old Waterfront’ and then as above

There is plenty of free parking available on site.
