Kite surfing is a relatively new watersport but one which is growing faster than any other right now.

The International Kiteboarding Association (IKO) was established in 2001 and through a network of accredited schools offers people the opportunity to follow a set of courses to help them get the most out of the sport in a structered way.

There are lots of non-iko schools out there too mind you, so don't think iko is the only way to go - it's not. The beauty of it is simply that someone else has done the work in ensuring that the school adhers to certain standards and offers a set of courses which alot of time and energy has gone into constructing.
