Sailing Courses:
We offer RYA Tidal Sailing Offering Classic Courses on our Bavaria 36 and Dufour 35 as well as our new Club Class – a brand new spacious Hanse 400e and a pair of Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39i’s we will have a boat to suit you.

Your RYA approved course will be held on one of our Bavaria 36’s, upon which you will stay throughout your time with us. They are fully fitted out, with three double cabins, and equipped with hot showers.

All our yachts come equipped with all the relevant safety equipment one would expect from a modern RYA Recognised Training Centre. Your course normally starts with a safety briefing on the first evening, followed by some free time to allow you to settle in and enjoy dinner.

The following morning we complete the safety briefing and then set sail. Our sailing area tends to be around the Western Canary Islands, covering places such as: Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro.

Unlike other sailing schools, we usually next see our home marina when we return six days later at around 5pm. You can then relax on this your last evening. The next morning you can make use of the facilities of the Marina San Miguel, before we take you back to the airport.

Our prices include:

Transfers to and from Tenerife South Airport - no additional costs or waiting around for a taxi, and in the marina within 15 minutes of your pick-up;
Tuition from a Yachtmaster Instructor with more than 15 years experience – we do not use instructors who have just qualified
6 day courses;
- All our clients get their own cabin – no need to share;

Bedding and towels – no need to bring your own;

Light weight waterproofs – just in case;

Food and drink on board – including a gin and tonic or a beer after a days sailing.

Additionally we also offer RYA Powerboat Courses in Spain from our base on Tenerife.

In general you will see 2 prices per course - The Classic Course uses the same type of yachts that other schools do (such as the Bavaria 36), but with the Club Sail extras our clients have come to expect since 1986 including:

Yachts used for our Club Class courses tend to be slightly newer, such as our 2007 Bavaria 42.

As a RYA approved training centre we offer tidal sailing courses from Competent Crew to Yachtmaster Ocean; and powerboat courses from Level 1 to Advanced, and also conversion courses from 10m to 24m.

Club Sail is run by Andrew Williams (an RYA Examiner and also Advanced Powerboat Instructor, Motorboat Instructor and Yachtmaster Ocean Instructor), and his Chief Instructor Doug Carroll (also a Yachtmaster Ocean Instructor) and his team ensuring that we have the right experienced instructors to suit you.

We offer:

Yacht Charter, both skippered and bareboat
RIB Charter, an Explorer 550 complete with diving bottle holder for charter.
RYA Approved Training Centre for sailing courses, powerboat courses and shorebased courses

Location & How to Find Us:
All practical courses are run from Marina San Miguel on Tenerife, and all shorebased courses from The Club House, Marina San Miguel, Tenerife.

Tenerife is the largest island of the archipelago which is the Canary Islands. The Island extends over 2.057 square kilometers and the main geographical feature is Mount Teide which is the highest in Spain. The climate in the south is dry and hot.

The Island is served by two airports, one in the north, Los Rodeos, and another in the south, Reina Sofía. We offer a free transfer service from Reina Sofía.
