Company Overview:
Canary Sail is a family business run by Clive and Alex Moreham. We fell in love with the island of La Gomera and now live there with our young son Ben.
We run the full range of RYA practical sailing courses in the tidal waters of the Western Canary Islands. We also offer long distance blue water cruises for anyone who is trying to accumulate mileage or skippered passages toward their Yachtmasters or would just like an adventure. You can reserve a single berth or get a group of friends together and charter the whole yacht. We also have sailing yachts available for bare boat or skippered charter.
We are based on the beautiful island of La Gomera that is a short transfer from Tenerife South airport (airport code is TFS). Tenerife is served by many airlines from most UK airports.

e Canary Islands have a sub-tropical climate that provides ideal sailing conditions in the sunshine all year round. The Western Canary Islands have plentyof marinas and anchorages to visit. The lesser-known islands of La Gomera, El Hiero and La Palma have not been affected by mass tourism and so still maintain their Canarian character.
You won`t be able to get a full English breakfast and a pint of best bitter, but you will be able to sample some excellent food and local wine.
It is worth taking some time to explore La Gomera. The island boasts an ancient laural forest in the Garajonay National Park that is a world heritage site! The waters around the island are full of marine life, you can normally expect to see pilot whales and bottle nose dolphins.

- Prices include: 7 nights accommodation onthe yacht, all on board food, soft drinks, wet weather gear (unlikely to be needed !), gas, relevent RYA Practical Course training material, diesel, marina fees, fresh bedding & towels
- Not included: flights and transfers, food and drink ashore
- Courses are Friday to Friday, with the actual course beginning on Saturday morning at 10.00 am and ending on the Thursday evening
