Windsurfing Courses:
Learning to windsurf is a breeze in a shallow safe lake with qualified instruction. Take advantage of "fast track" teaching methods to make the most of the region's stronger winds, from Tramontane to Vent d´Espagne.
The St.Pierre-la-Mer sailing centre has been catering for windsurfing for many years and with the recent introduction of new beginner/improver wide style boards and lighter sails there has never been a better time to learn. A
t the centre you will find:
- a super-safe salt water lake "Etang de Pissevaches"
- the Mediterranean Sea at your doorstep
- a club house with toilets, showers and refreshments
- courses and private lessons for all levels in English and French, recognised by the RYA, FFV (Fédération Française de Voile - the French sailing governing body)
- safety cover, so we'll keep an eye on you while you're practising
For more advanced windsurfers the centre has limited equipment. Please contact us with your requirements and we will do our best to help.
If you do bring your own equipment we can provide storage, lessons and also information on a safari of the best spots in the area.

Company Overview:
Sudwindsports Ltd. is a British based company who organise kitesurfing, windsurfing sailing holidays in the South of France. Our watersports school in St.Pierre-la-Mer is open from April until November, bookings however can be taken all year round.
Location & How to Find Us:
St. Pierre-la-Mer is situated in the Languedoc-Roussillon region (and Aude department) in the South East of France just above the Spanish border. This small seaside village is famous for its big market and its endless beaches. Situated on the foot of the La Clape mountain range, it borders the marshlands and salt lakes of the nature reserve formed by the estuary of the river Aude. It is approximately 20 minutes by car from central Narbonne.
The nearest airports are Carcassone, Perpignan and Nimes in France with Girona in Spain also providing regular flights not too far away. The TGV line also connects with Narbonne providing another option.
