Our Sailing Courses:
With our range of beginner, intermediate and advanced RYA sailing courses and tuition here in Cornwall, combined with our ideal location you will find sailing at Mylor Sailing School a great experience.

We are a small, owner-run independent sailing school, and our aim is to give you a friendly and personal service. We can advise regarding all types of good local accommodation, and give you information on local restaurants, pubs and many other attractions to help you and your family enjoy your stay in Cornwall.

Much of our tuition takes place aboard crewed dinghies, with an instructor aboard to guide you through those early stages. Our 16 foot Wayfarer dinghies are of a tried and tested design, still the popular choice of many sailing schools. The boats are roomy and stable, yet responsive and manoeuvrable, making the class an ideal teaching boat.

More experienced sailors can take advantage of our Topper Spice - more performance orientated this boat will give a great introduction into Isometric sailing and use of the trapeze whilst crewing or helming. The younger sailors and smaller adults may use our Bug dinghies or Toppers with specially designed sails to reduce power, making life easier and the boat more stable.

Holiday Courses
We offer long courses for adults and young sailors during holiday periods. These run Monday through to Friday. Learning this way in a small group is fun, a great way to start sailing and make new friends, and still gives you some spare time to experience the other attractions of a holiday here in Cornwall.

Company Overview:
We are a small but long established, owner-run independent sailing school. We are an RYA recognised centre with an AALA license ensuring standards of safety, equipment and quality of tuition. We are able to give a friendly personal service that can be tailored to your requirements.

As well as sailing we can help with accommodation ideas, local information on restaurants and pubs and other excursions indepent to us with the hope of making your time in Cornwall worthwhile.

The School is based in Mylor Yacht Harbour which has the reputation as the 'Best in the West', having recently undergone a full scale development program. This has produced a fantastic facility in an already perfect sailing area that has been sympathetic to the traditional Cornish coastline and harbour heritage. We pride ourselves as being part of this along side the Chandlery, Wine bar, Cafe and with the Marina and Boatyard you will see how the reputation has been well earned.
