Day Sailing from Southampton - Frequently - £100pp
Southampton’s prestigious Ocean Village Marina is the ideal starting point for you to enjoy a new experience - a day sail on a 42 foot ocean going sailing yacht. Sail in comfort on board 'Happy Hobo', a 42 foot Moody where you are welcome to take the wheel and get fully involved in crewing or just sit back and take it easy!

We offer a full day on the water from our get together at 0900 until our late afternoon return. The day includes lunch on board and coffee and tea throughout the day. Our sailing area is Southampton Water with the excitement of viewing the large commercial ships and ocean liners, the picturesque Hamble River or the sheltered waters of the Solent with the Isle of Wight just across the way.

No previous sailing experience is necessary and who knows the sailing bug may bite you and you will decide to supplement your experience by booking on one of our RYA Start Yachting or Competent Crew Courses.

French Atlantic Coast - June 14 to 28 - £1,195pp
This cruise leaves the Solent and after the excitement of rounding Ushant we will make passage along the rugged Atlantic Coast of the Bay of Biscay.

This cruise is the perfect way to combine a wonderful holiday with superb sailing aboard a magnificent ocean going yacht (with porpoises and dolphins playing in our wake!). We will stop at many delightful ports before our final destination of the historic city of La Rochelle a bustling seaport with its own distinct charm.

Spend the day shopping in the old town, or climb Tour St. Nicholas the oldest tower in La Rochelle. Get a complete view of the entire town and harbour from the second floor or climb to the top to see all of the old town and Ile d'Oléron. The aim is to provide a mix of sailing combined with sight seeing in the ports that we visit. There is the opportunity to gain seamiles and the chance to obtain a Competent Crew or Day Skipper qualification - whilst the aspiring Coastal Skipper can experience Coastal Passage making and navigation.

Channel Island Cruises - July to September
The Channel Islands are a unique and delightful cruising ground of clear, warm waters, stunning beaches, sunshine and scenery. They offer excellent cuisine, duty free shopping, modern marinas plus sheltered and secluded bays. All of these combine to make our Channel Island Cruises a sailing holiday of a lifetime.

During July, August and early September, Happy Hobo will cruise the French coast and the Channel Islands, dropping anchor in sheltered coves where you can laze in the sunshine or swim in the clear, warm waters. Choose local cruising around the Cherbourg peninsula, Alderney or Guernsey, or experience the delights of a longer passage to Jersey or St Malo. All of our Cruises are ideal for either novices who want to learn to sail, or those sailors who want to extend their cruising experience. The emphasis is on having fun on a relaxing, enjoyable holiday, however, practical advice and instruction is available from our fully qualified RYA/MCA Ocean Instructor leading to an RYA qualification if desired.
